v1 Atlas/Getting started

What is Lapitap

What the system does, who uses it, and how its parts fit together.

Lapitap v1 "Atlas" runs a laptop business from the moment a machine is bought to the day it is sold, serviced or written off — and keeps the books balanced while it does so.

What you can do#

  • Track every laptop individually: product ID (barcode), serial number, full specification, prices, status, outlet, photo, upgrade and warranty history.
  • Buy in bulk against vendor deals: a purchase invoice reserves quantities per category; laptops and parts are then received against that deal.
  • Buy over the counter from walk-in sellers with Buy-Ins (ID captured, voucher printed, paid on the spot).
  • Sell laptops, parts and accessories with taxes, discounts, several payment methods, credit notes and refunds.
  • Run the accounts: every sale, purchase, payment, expense, transfer and refund posts a balanced journal entry; the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Trial Balance and Day Book are always current.
  • Work across outlets (branches and a Warehouse): move stock, restrict users to their outlet, report per outlet.
  • Control access with roles and numeric permission codes.
  • Protect data with scheduled database + media backups and one-click safe restore.
