The one idea to understand first#
In v1 you buy a deal from a vendor — quantities per category — and then receive laptops and parts against it. Each laptop is one record with a status; each part is a quantity per outlet. Everything you sell, refund or return flows back to stock and to the ledger automatically. Read How stock enters once and the rest falls into place.
How the guide is organised#
- Getting started — installation, signing in, navigation, scanner and labels.
- Catalog setup — outlets, categories, brands, models, components, software.
- Inventory — deals, laptops, lifecycle, pricing, stock take, moves, parts, upgrades, warranty.
- Sales and Purchasing — invoices, payments, notes, refunds, returns, Buy-Ins.
- Accounting — the ledger, dashboards, expenses, transfers, setup, taxes, statements.
- Reports & printing — all 40 reports and the print formats.
- Administration — users, permissions, e-mail, backups, factory restore, licence, updates.
- Reference — permission codes, statuses, troubleshooting, versions.
NOTE
Every user sees only the menu items their role allows. If a screen described here is missing from your sidebar, ask your administrator to review your role — see Roles & permissions.

Version information#
v1 is a maintained product line: it receives bug fixes and patches (1.x.y) through the built-in updater and never moves to another line. See Product lines & versions.
