Buy-Ins
Laptops bought over the counter from walk-in sellers.
Purchase → Buy-Ins Laptop (buyins.view) records a laptop bought from a person, one record per laptop, with no vendor or deal.
Record a buy-in#
Add new (buyins.create) opens the workshop:
- Seller — name, phone, CNIC (13 digits, required), city and address; returning sellers are found by CNIC.
- Laptop — serial number, brand / series / model and specs, condition notes, pictures, and the adapter / cable that came with it.
- Payment — the agreed price, the payment method and outlet. An optional signed voucher scan.
On save, in one step: the laptop is created with code BI-<yyMMdd>-<nnn> and status Pending QC, and the books record stock in and money out. Print the Purchase Voucher for the seller to sign.
Change or void#
- Edit (
buyins.update) — a price change re-posts the journal. - Void (
buyins.void) reverses the payment and removes the laptop. A buy-in whose laptop is already sold cannot be voided.
The Buy-Ins Laptop report lists every buy-in with seller, price, payment method and — once sold — the sale invoice.
