Parts & accessories
Component stock, power adapters and cables, devices, accessories and the Inventory page.
Parts are counted, not tracked one by one: each stock item has a quantity per outlet.
Products menu#
| Page | Stock of |
|---|---|
| Processor, RAM, Storage, Graphics Card, Display Panel | Spare components, one stock item per spec |
| Power Adapters, Power Cables | Adapters and cables, one stock item per type |
| Devices, Accessories | Everything else you sell by quantity |
A stock item's code comes from its category code. Quantity arrives through purchases (and returns); it leaves through sales, upgrades and the fit run. An item with nothing left shows Out of Stock.
Inventory page#
Inventory shows each item's quantity per outlet and its movement log. From an item you can add stock received on a deal (only deals with quantity left are offered), move stock between outlets (inventory.move) or correct it after a count (inventory.adjust).
Power adapters and cables#
Each laptop records the type of adapter and cable it needs. When stock exists, the top bar shows how many laptops are waiting; Fit takes one priced unit from stock per laptop, attaches it and adds its cost to the laptop's prices. Unpriced stock is skipped and reported.
Upgrades#
Upgrade on a laptop swaps CPU, RAM, storage or GPU with stock items. The part taken out goes back into stock (its stock item is created if needed — you enter its purchase price when it has none); the part fitted comes out of stock. The price difference is added to the laptop and the books are updated. Every upgrade is kept in the laptop's history.
Warranty#
A laptop's Warranty panel records items covered for the customer (e.g. Battery) with an amount and status. Sold laptops with an open warranty appear under InWarranty Laptops.
